OUR BUILDING

We’re not sure exactly when this building was first constructed or what it was originally used for, but it has a rich history that we absolutely cherish. Here’s the oldest black-and-white photo we could find of the salon, though we don’t know the exact year.

Throughout the years, it has been home to a café, a bicycle shop, barbers, an antiques shop, a Thai takeaway, and for the past 17+ years, a beloved hair salon. With its charming, old-world character, this place has countless stories to tell.

 

After sitting empty for nearly two years, the building needed a complete overhaul. With no insulation, original cobbled walls, invasive vines, and issues like damp and mold, we had quite a project on our hands!

We rewired the entire space, removed the old kitchen and bathroom, added insulation, plastered, built new walls, and sealed up doors. We’ve updated it with a modern touch while preserving the building's original charm, ensuring it continues to tell its unique story.
